Notice of Electronic Determinations

 

The information in this article is only applicable to Humana authorizations.

To do our part for the environment, Cohere Health has automatically enrolled all users into electronic final determination letters for all authorizations submitted through our portal in an attempt to reduce waste. You will no longer receive final determinations by mail unless an admin user on your account changes these settings. Please note that your patients will continue to receive their copy of the final determination letter in the mail. 

  • If the setting is toggled to “Off” that means you will be mailed paper determination letters and have the ability to access the letters electronically 
  • If the setting is toggled to “On” that means you will only receive electronic determinations letters

If you would like to change this setting so that your organization receives paper determinations, the admin user for your account should follow the steps below:

  1. Log into the Cohere platform
  2. Select ‘My Account’ in the top right of the dashboard
  3. Click ‘Paperless Settings’ 
  4. Toggle the bar in the pop message to ‘Off’

To view, download and/or print the electronic final determination letter from the platform:

  1. Navigate to the patient summary by locating the correct authorization on the dashboard and clicking that request.
  2. Once on the patient summary, you will be able to view a list of authorizations for that patient.
  3. Select the “Print” button located on the top right corner of the authorization then click “Final Determination Letter” from the drop-down list.
